Stainless Steel 304H Spools Manufacturers, Exporters & Suppliers in India
Stainless Steel 304H Spools are a relatively short component of a piping system. The spool is made from a predetermined length of pipe which is welded to a valve or pipe fitting. The spool is typically fitted with flanges at both ends. Stainless Steel 304H Spools are highly durable and easy to maintain. They resist corrosion and do not easily accumulate debris.
The alloy 304/304H exhibits good resistance to atmospheric corrosion, as well as to most organic and inorganic chemicals. It also resists moderately aggressive acids such as phosphoric acid and nitric acid. It can operate well in caustic solutions that do not contain fluorides or chlorides.
Stainless Steel 304H is made for high-temperature applications. Its high-carbon content assures optimum high-temperature strength. For example, GB150 requires austenitic steel at 525 degrees Celsius with a carbon content of 310. Unlike pure austenite, carbide improves corrosion resistance. Generally, 304 stainless steel is cheaper, but it's not worth the extra cost.
As the name implies, 304H is an austenitic chromium-nickel alloy. The carbon content is higher than in 304, making it more suitable for high-temperature applications. This austenitic alloy is commonly used for pressure vessels, such as those in the gas, oil, and chemical industries. It also has many uses in the nonmagnetic and cryogenic fields.
The corrosion resistance of 304/304H is similar to that of 304/304L. Compared to 304/304, it resists moderately oxidizing and reducing environments. However, it is susceptible to carbide precipitation at the weld boundary. It is an easy and versatile metal to weld, and standard shop fabrication practices make it a perfect choice for welding. There are also many benefits to using 304H.
