Stainless Steel 4.6 Fasteners Manufacturers, Exporters & Suppliers in India
Stainless Steel 4.6 Fasteners are made from stainless steel, a soft metal that is extremely corrosion resistant. Unlike other materials, stainless steel bolts are not heat-treated or through-hardened and are typically magnetic.
Because of their magnetic properties, stainless fasteners are perfect for finishing applications. However, stainless bolts and nuts should not be used with aluminum, as this metal is extremely corrosive.
SAE grade 8 is similar to metric grading. SAE grade 8 fasteners are often used in the structural and automotive industries for high-temperature applications. This steel grade is near the top of the grade scale, but higher grades are available for specialty fasteners and specialized applications.
Generally, SAE grade 8.8 fasteners are the strongest and most common choice for structural applications. Despite its lower cost, this grade still offers exceptional strength for many applications.
Stainless steel grade 304 is the most commonly used stainless steel grade. It is slightly weaker than grade 2 but is extremely easy to weld. 304 is the denotation for a similar grade, 303, which is the standard stainless steel grade.
While 18-8 stainless is a great choice for dry applications, 316 is better for marine environments. While salty air can cause damage to stainless steel fasteners, this type is usually used in applications with high-salt content, such as boat docks and pools. This type of stainless steel is also corrosion-resistant, which makes it an ideal choice for marine applications. There are many uses for 316 stainless fasteners.
As with any metal, corrosion-resistant fasteners come in a wide variety of grades and materials. The most extensive range of stainless steel fasteners is available in Australia and can be ordered with little notice. Generally, corrosion-resistant fasteners are made of grades 304, 316, and 303.
Stainless steel fasteners are also made of grades 302HQ and 304. For more information, visit the official website of the Australian Standard Cold-Formed Stainless Steel Structures.
This grade of stainless steel is often referred to as 410. While 410 is harder than 18-8 stainless, it is less resistant to corrosion.
