Stainless Steel B7 Fasteners Manufacturers, Exporters & Suppliers in India
Stainless Steel B7 Fasteners are made from ASTM A193 Grade B7 steel. These fasteners are used for many applications that require high strength and corrosion resistance. These fasteners can vary greatly in size, grade, and type.
Typically, these bolts are three to twenty-five millimeters in length and feature a chromium molybdenum alloy. They can also be hot-dip galvanized for additional corrosion resistance.
AISI Type 316 stainless steel fasteners are made from higher molybdenum content and superior corrosion resistance. ASTM A193 Grade B8M Fasteners must be treated with a carbide solution and undergo additional strain hardening before use.
Stainless steel nuts must be ASTM A194 Grade 8M to complete a B8 fastener set. For low-temperature applications, ASTM A320 Grade B8 fasteners are recommended.
ASTM A193 Grade B7 bolts have similar properties to ASTM A193 grade B7 fasteners. The main difference between these bolts is the minimum tensile and yield strength requirements. Grade B8 bolts are designed to resist high temperatures while Class A screws are designed for low temperatures.
For applications in which high temperature is a factor, AISI B8 bolts are made with AISI 304 stainless steel. As a result, grade B8 fasteners are generally stronger than Grade A fasteners.
ASTM A193 covers a variety of bolting materials. The ASTM standard covers both stainless steel and alloy steel fasteners for high-pressure service. These include valves and pressure vessels. As the name implies, Grade B7 fasteners often have a national coarse thread pitch.
Traditional applications require eight or more threads per inch. If your application is in a high-pressure environment, AISI B7 fasteners are suitable.
