LF2 Carbon Steel Forged Flanges Manufacturers, Exporters & Suppliers in India
LF2 Forged Flanges are primarily used for low-temperature applications and meet ASTM A350 requirements. This standard requires that a Charpy V-notch impact test be performed to determine the toughness of the notch in a workpiece.
The test shall be conducted by ASTM A1058 or A370, and standard test specimens shall be 10mm x 10mm in cross-section. Three pieces of test specimens are prepared for each heat lot. The minimum applicable temperature is 0degC.
ASTM A350 LF2 is a forged carbon/low-alloy steel intended for low-temperature service. Unlike ERW or SS, Carbon LF2 is not subject to the heat treatment process used to create ASTM A350 NF2 Flanges. However, its low carbon content makes it machinable and formable. It also offers excellent resistance to stress cracking and crevice corrosion.
This is why LF6 Carbon Steel has a variety of applications in a wide range of industries. LF2 carbon steel forged flanges are available in a variety of sizes. These flanges work on all pressure ratings and have moderate strength.
LTCS A350 LF2 Slip-On Flanges offer a reliable, leak-proof connection at a low cost. The ASTM A350 LF2 standard covers a variety of carbon steel grades. If you need a flange, you'll want to check the specifications before you buy.
As the name implies, LF2 refers to Low-Alloy Carbon Steel. Low-alloy carbon steel LF2 flanges are made from carbon steel and can be forged for a wide range of industrial applications. Their high flexibility and machinability make them ideal for use in various applications. These forged flanges are typically made from billets, blooms, or bars.
As the most demanding material in a flange, carbon steel has the highest stress-reliant properties. Because of this, they must be well-built to achieve high-yield service. Manufacturers must invest in the research and development of high-quality steel. However, increased carbon content makes the steel heavier and less ductile after heat treatment. Carbon weldability can also be reduced due to a lack of heat treatment.
The SA350 LF2 flanges are primarily used to connect valves, pumps, and pipes. They have various pressure classes ranging from 6 bar to 40 bar, and they are zinc plated and oil black painted. These flanges also have different face types and are forged, threaded, or screwed. In addition to these, LF2 flanges are often used in high-temperature applications and are corrosion resistant.
Carbon Steel LF2 Flanges are often fabricated using forging and welding. The forged flanges are made of carbon steel and are commonly fabricated for the purpose. This material is generally used for pipelines and is very strong. Its machinability is excellent and it can be expertly machined. You can also find A350 LF2 welding neck flanges with different dimensions.
