Stainless SteelS 32205 Spools are commonly used in marine environments. They can achieve double the strength of austenitic stainless steel. Duplex UNS S31803 Spool Fittings are made of two different alloys, ferritic and austenitic. When forging, the temperature should be in the range of 1100 to 1250 degrees Celsius. Once finished, these spools should be cooled in still air.
Stainless Steel S 32750 is a duplex grade with a ferritic-austenitic microstructure. In annealed form, it contains 40-50% ferrite. This alloy provides superior strength and corrosion resistance while retaining the austenitic-like properties. It is a practical solution for corrosion-prone environments involving sulphuric acid and seawater.
UNS S32205 is an extremely versatile alloy. Compared to Type 304, it exhibits a very high-temperature strength and an increased strength at low temperatures. It also has high proof stress, which requires caution during cold work. Its elongation is significantly lower than Type 304. It is compatible with many different welding techniques.
